5 Indian Writing Gurus / Blogging Champs who inspire me the most #SuperBloggerChallenge #Instacuppa
As I have mentioned a couple of times earlier too, the best part of blogging is connecting with like-minded people. You read, connect and get to know many fantastic writers whom you never knew before you stepped into the blogging world. And for an extrovert like me who loves to meet and greet people not just in the real world but also online, virtually, it is indeed an amusing part of my writing journey. There are many fellow bloggers cum author cum social influencers who inspire me every day to do better and whom I look up to.
Here I am listing a few of them:
Anupama Dalmia
Well, who does not know this super talented, multiple award-winning writer, whom I fondly call Anu. She is one of the best bloggers in the country today. She quit her lucrative IT career to pursue her passion in the creative field. Her stories, articles, and poems have been published in various coveted magazines and platforms like Women’s Era, Women’s Web, Momspresso, eFiction India, Youth Ki Awaaz, Readomania, SheThePeople TV and Women of Courage.
She has won numerous short story writing and blogging contests and has been featured by Women’s Web among the top 10 women bloggers of India. She was also recently featured by Femina and she has also made her way into Newspaper dailies like TOI, Eenadu, Deccan Chronicle, and The Pioneer.
Her debut e-novella “Aarohi” has been garnering rave reviews by readers as well as professional reviewers. It is among the top 3 in Goodreads list of “Best Kindle Unlimited Picks for Indian Readers – 2018”. Her second book “Muffled Moans” is an International Anthology which has stories and poems from selected authors from across the globe.
She was featured by ICICI Bank as a part of their “Fund Your Own Worth” campaign. Recently, she was chosen by Mompreneur Circle among the 11 women entrepreneurs from across India for their “Woman Entrepreneur of the week” series.
She is not just ruling the blogging world but also is a professional dance choreographer and the founder of the dance enterprise “Rhythms & Beats” which is into dance events and workshops. Not just that, she co-owns the award-winning cookery portal “Tingle Your Taste Buds” along with her mother.
She is also the founder and chief mentor at “Beyond the Box” as a part of which she mentors children as well as adults on creative writing through classes and workshops at schools, communities, and corporates.
Maitabi Banerjee
She is one of the most creative writers I have come across in this blogging world. I wake up to her hugely popular daily morning musings on Facebook and it instantly brings a big grin on my face. She weaves magic in her stories and posts. How brilliantly and effortlessly she writes about a routine topic is just mind-blowing.
She has a post-graduate degree in Media and journalism from Central Institute of English and Foreign Language Hyderabad. Been doing content writing for the last 12 years and has written on various topics. Also, she dabbles in blogging, book reviews, fiction and non-fiction writing, which have been published on the various platforms.
She has won not only the hearts of people but also many awards for her fantastic writing skills which include Top Blogger of the year award by Momspresso, and multiple wins at flash fiction #100wordstory by Women’s Web.
Recently, she has launched her own publishing platform, ‘Writer’s Collective’ along with her mentor, that aims at giving a transparent publishing platform to all the writers. She also mentors Creative writing to kids.
Dr. Roshan Radhakrishnan
In 2014, his blog Godyears was chosen as the Best Blog in India for Creative Writing at the Country’s First Live Blogging Conference and Awards Ceremony, WIN’14. In 2016, he beat over 25,000 entries to be a winner of Write India Season One, India’s largest crowd-sourced literary competition. Two years later, he would win again for Season 2, becoming the only Indian to win both editions of Write India.
Rakshita Dwivedi
Rakshita Dwivedi is an ex-HR professional turned food blogger turned entrepreneur. She is the founder of Recipe Dabba which empowers families with healthy choices. Recipe Dabba as a concept has won many awards since last two years of its inception and few are Orange Flower Award by Women’s Web, Made by Her Award by Woman At Work and very recent Homepreneur Award by Brand Avatar.
Recipe Dabba offers free online cookbook, kids, parents & corporates workshops, and healthy products for retail. Now she has launched her products as well in the market and getting excellent responses.
She has been doing a phenomenal job by her venture Recipe Dabba and creating awareness amongst the people about mindful healthy eating. With her out of the box thinking and creativity, she has proven that healthy is not always boring, it can be made delicious too. In Mumbai and Gurgaon, she runs no fire cooking classes for kids, which have been very well received by the public.

Sonia Chatterjee
Sonia is one of the finest writers I know. She amazes me with her versatility and creativity every time in her blogs. With two post-graduate degrees in Chemistry and Management and eight years of corporate experience, she quit her Banking job to become a writer. She blogs about food, movies, books, travel, parenting, social issues, her personal journey and has taken to writing fiction lately on her site Soniamusings.
She is the author of the Detective thriller ‘Deal of Death’ and has also been invited as a speaker at the Breaking Barriers Kolkata event by Women’s Web. Currently, she is working on her next novel in the Detective series.
She stepped into the blogging world around 1 year back and in this one year, she has won many awards. A couple of them at national-level blogging contests too. She has also been featured in the top twenty list in the Orange Flower Awards by Women’s Web for her writing in the categories of travel and humor.
Apart from these 5, there are many more bloggers cum friends who inspire me daily to become a better version of me. To name a few, Dr. Amrita, Prerna Wahi, Alpana Deo, Kalpana Manivannan, Mann, Vidhya Thakkar, Shivani Salil, Saumya, Anwee, Ivy are a few writers who I absolutely love reading.
I wish more pen power to all of them. May our tribe grow by leaps and bounds.
