About the Author:

Abhinav is a banker by profession, a passionate marathon runner and a blogger by interest. He has been blogging successfully for the last 3 years and has a decent organic reader base. He likes creative writing, and churning stories. His blog is about finding extraordinary stories of ordinary people in various fields like entrepreneurship, sports, creativity etc. He is also an official influencer for Decathlon for their running brand, “Kalenji”. He assists entrepreneurs, sportsperson and bloggers to promote their work and businesses without any compensation.

Plot:

A Second Chance With Love In Corona is a fictional short story of a loving couple. It is the debut book of the author. Subtly yet effectively, the author has tried to convey the message of how the lives of people especially the young couples have affected due to the novel virus. The author has tried to present the challenges, difficulties, and the insecurities the couple faces during the pandemic. Also, how they tried to turn the situation in their stride and made the most of it by staying together and positive. As it has only 13 pages, hence it makes a quick read and can be finished in a single go.

Summary:

This book is about Kabir and Kia, a newly wed couple who gets busy in their respective lives soon after returning from their honeymoon. Life happens, hectic schedules and demanding jobs keep them occupied throughout the day. They start feeling the vacuum in their lives. The couple longed for their cuddling moments and it was when the unexpected pandemic hits crashing all their vacation plans. The couple treat it as a blessing in disguise as they get to spend the entire day and night with each other. They spent quality time together, the loneliness vanished and their home and hearts were filled with love and romance once again. Their love for each other helps them sail through this tough phase. Life seemed great until an unanticipated storm hit them.

What was this new storm, were they able to cope up with it, were they managed to rediscover their lost love or not? Was the pandemic proved stronger or the couple? Without being a spoiler and answering to any of these questions, I would end my review here for you to pick up the book and get the answers on your own.

The author has used simple language in the book and the story is fast paced. The reader would be able to connect to the story because all of us are going through the same emotions and facing the same insecurities of life, finances, health and our loved ones. The chosen topic is apt given the current times. However, one round of editing, formatting and spell check is needed in the book. Also, the book ended suddenly when I expected more. The author may consider writing part 2 because the readers would be interested in knowing more about Kabir and Kia’s life.

i dont fancy books with too many grammatical errors though i would love the story. yeah abrupt endings are also a turn off at times.
