We often hear people saying, “Technology has taken over us and our precious time”. Its correct up to some extent but at the same time, it is something we can’t imagine our lives without. Technology has made our lives way too easier. We have so many gadgets and smart devices available in the market that makes our chores easier and time effective.
There was a time when the mobile phone was introduced to the market and it was a luxury. People wondered looking at the magical box how just by pressing a few buttons, it worked and connected us with the people across the world. Later, smartphones, touch screens, tablets invaded the market and it no longer remained a luxury.
Imagine our smartphone is dead even for a minute, sounds scary no? We feel so handicapped. Making calls or booking a cab or ordering grocery items or checking about delayed kids school bus – we are dependent on this little box. My phone is my lifesaver whenever I travel, using GPS or Google translate in the cities/countries where language is a concern, the mobile phone comes to my rescue.
Not only that, while we hunt for a decent school for our children, we look for all the amenities like smart classes, smart speakers etc. so that our kids are getting the best education and atmosphere. We cannot overlook the crimes happening in the schools these days, hence another important and must have amenity we look for is a high-quality smart camera and surveillance system.
Even most of the offices’and apartments are having CCTV camera facility these days to avoid any theft and maintain the safety standards. We are planning to install a Smarty Dual Antenna WiFi IP Smart Onvif Camera surveillance system in our home to ensure safety. Though it is an investment and I feel it is a must-have device and worth the money. In the security range of products, there are fire alarms, ring doorbells, smart lock, sensors and much more to explore and #SmartHomeRevolution.
I personally like Sensors the most as they send you a notification immediately if a cupboard, drawer, cabinet, door, window etc. open unexpectedly. It can also remind you to lock a door or almirah if you tend to forget such things. It is not possible to safeguard all the areas of your home with the security cameras, looking at the cost constraint but you can easily opt for Sensors and stay tension free.
Locking and unlocking your home doors by sitting in your office just by pressing a button sounded like a sci-fi movie. But, with the recent technology developments in the automation industry, it is the reality. Smart locks are a brilliant product which allows you to lock and unlock your doors remotely or even by giving instructions to your Alexa using voice recognition. If you have unexpected guests, you can share temporary keys with them via an app. Smart doors lock automatically after a set period of time.
People are turning their homes into smart homes nowadays and have products like Smart bulbs, smart switches, and plugs, Chrome cast, Fire TV Stick, Smart TVs, smart vacuum cleaner (Robovac) etc. are a few products which are gaining popularity these days. For Indian Market, Robovac is again a great product as it cleans the house automatically. No dependency on maids anymore.
For the people staying miles apart from their families, smartphones and tablets are a blessing. They can connect with their family and friends any time, any hour of the day using these gadgets. Also for long distance couples, such devices serve as a lifeline.
Not only smart homes and security devices, another excellent smart product today in the market is the Smart Wearable, Mi Band – HRX Edition, the watch, and fitness band in one. It is a great way to monitor your health and fitness and help you keep a record of your heart rate, pulse, workouts, vitals etc. As people are becoming health conscious these days, this makes a good choice to buy or even gift to your loved ones who are fitness freaks. You can find a variety of these bands on Flipkart and #GetFitWithFlipkart
