I take this as an opportunity to introduce my first e-book that was published in Blogchatter’s e-book carnival 2019 and now Travel my way can be grabbed on Amazon now.

Title: Travel my way
Author: Vartika Mehrotra Gakhar
Genre: Travelogue / Non-fiction
Format: E-book

First of all, I thank all the readers who have already downloaded, read and subsequently reviewed the book. So, here is sneak peek to the book through a few snippets of the reviews I have received:

Dr. Shivani from Shivani Writes says:

“Though the genre that its slotted in, is ‘Travelogue’, I feel it goes beyond that. The tone of the entire book seems conversational. It feels like you are hearing a friend relate her experiences. She has sprinkled the entire book with anecdotes and memories which makes it stand apart from the rest of the books in the same genre.

Her choices of destinations is a very eclectic one. There are the holy places like Vaishno Devi, Naimisharanya (I wasn’t even aware of this place), Kedarnath Rudraprayag. And then she takes you across the length and breadth of the country with pieces on Goa, Amritsar, Kodaikanal and the backwaters. In the entire potpourri, there’s something for everyone”.

Mayuri from SiriMiri says:

“Each chapter is detailed, and studded with personal anecdotes, drawing you in. Helpful ‘Suggestions’, and ‘Tips and Tricks’ and ‘Points to Note’, will not only help you plan a better trip but will also let you know what to expect from the city mentioned. Vartika has been candid about sharing her travel goof ups too. Reading this book is akin to taking a refreshing journey, at the end of which you realise you are wiser, recharged and left with a smile on your face”.

Varsha from AVibrantPalette says:

“The best part about this book is that it’s a travelogue with a heart. Vartika has travelled extensively with her family and the deep bond she shares with them stands out. She has kept it authentic and not tried to sugar coat anything to make it a better read. Travel stories are often about tourist places and bland monotonous accounts. I felt a connection with the author through this refreshing read. She has researched intricate details about every place and included them for the reader’s benefit. Her writing is engaging with cute Hindi lines and phrases adding a dash of humour at places. If you’re looking for a light read with loads of nostalgia and beautiful places thrown in, this book is perfect for you”.

Jai from Jai’s Jottings says:

“I loved her descriptions of the Bada Imambra, Chota Imambra and the various parks of Lucknow. I felt that I was actually in Lucknow sampling the delicacies. The golden temple is one place I have always wanted to visit and Vartika’s description of her experience piques my interest even more. In the final portion of the book, Vartika has devoted a section to how people ought to prepare for travelling. She has given several tips on planning a vacation without stress. She has also provided tips on how to visit international destinations without too much of a financial burden. The book is definitely a very absorbing read.

Sinjana from Backpack & Explore says:

“This is a feel-good travel chronicle that you can read on a flight or while being stuck in traffic congestion. A short breezy read that will make you go on a whirlwind virtual tour of the world with Vartika. If you are not bitten by the travel bug yet, well, get ready to be stung.  I like her endeavor to strike the perfect balance between an anecdotal and an informational travelogue.

I was never so drawn to the Golden Temple of Amritsar as I am now after reading her story. There is a chapter dedicated to travel tips for Europe trip and another one about the tips for traveling with children. These are absolute gems in a nutshell for any family traveler. I am not a mom yet but I have traveled with friends who have kids. It’s sure a whole new ball-game for those who consider themselves travel experts”.

Priyanka from Priyanka’s Pen says:

“You will find an interesting flavor of humor, dark, romance, adventure and affection as you turn the pages of the book which you will surely enjoy reading. Her Chapter, “Scary and unforgettable childhood memories of Himachal Pradesh”, literally gave me goosebumps as she narrates two such horrifying incidents crazy enough to scare the hell out of a person especially when you are at an unknown place. From road trips to trekking to experiencing divinity to facing horrible and unexpected incidents and yet smiling brightly with her twin kids, the author has left a memorable travelogue with her experiences”.

Surbhi from Surbhi’s Crazy Creative World says:

“This book is an excellent combo of personal exciting travel stories+ excellent information for easy travelling and travel planning. If you are travel enthusiastic you will love this book for all possible reasons and want to keep this for easy reference and travel tips. And if you are not a travel enthusiastic this book will inspire you to start travel more and add extra fun and excitement in your life.
